9253/4 throttle servo

does any 1 know if its ok to use either of the above for the throttle. have heard of a mate thats its not a good idea. any 1 know.

I am currently running a 9254 as my throttle servo and this replaced the 9253 that it used to use... I run it with a TJ Pro governor in digital high speed servo mode. Been working perfectly since 2004 (touch wood)

reason i asked, was on the other site hf, our fav guy on there has said its a bad idea to use with an align guv,

yep thats because its not a 6v servo... u need to use a stepdown on it Gaz

i am mate, have done around 15-20 flights so far not had a prob, just what someone told me

9254s are prone to vibrations shall we say... me personally i have vowed never to use one again after the one in my 600 goes (next on my list). Had too many fail now... would rather have an Align 620/650 now

I have had 2 fail on the tail but never on the throttle, I think this one has been going for about 2 years now having been in the Knight and now in the 700.

Ive had 5 fail now (on the tail)... bloody ridiculous tbh. I wouldnt dare trust one even on me throttle and thats sayin something

No need whatsoever to drop the voltage if its a regulated 6v, ive had a 9254 on the throttle of this and my last synergy for approx 2 years now with no problems at all, running off a flight tech regulator at 6v

but like everything in this hobby... go with what you think is right not what everyone else tells you to do. Everyones experiences are totally diffrent ive found in this fantastic hobby. What works for one person might not work for you.

cheers guys for your comments, its a 9253 i am using, with an align reg. also if any 1 knows, i am building a 600 at the mo and using an sl720 with a 620 do you know what frame rate to set it to, origianally i was using the 720 with a 9254 so was set to 333fr

id imagine it would be the same Gaz as they very similar spec off the top of my head...

thinking about it, i was using the servo in my vision with a 401 which run at 333 and never had a problem. should be fine then. lads
