I had a similar problem with my T500. Three months trying to find the problem with no luck & a certain loss of confidence in it. In my case the tail whipped on a roll while inverted which caused orientation problems.
I changed, motor, blades, bearings, belts, servos with no joy. I even lost confidence in the brand of blades thinking they caused a phasing problem.
Last week while still trying to find the problem, heli started off in a direction towards the pits that I wasn't inputting in the tx & had to force it into the deck.
Crashing never felt so good.....
I put the original problem down to a bend in metal parts or a hairline crack in plastic tail parts that I would have never found, as post crash showed me a very slightly bent main blade holder & the plastic on the tail case disintegrated on what was not a big crash.
Just need to get it in the air again now to see if it's fixed the problem.
Good luck. Frustrating as hell though isn't it & no, I don't advocate crashing on purpose, but I think it may have helped me find the answer.Last edited by zoombolt; 16-02-2010, 10:05 AM.You can teach a man everything. Apart from experience.

I spent a long time at the beginning of last year, hunting down a tail vibration on one of my 600's. I went through everything, replacing anything and everything I could think of (shafts, hub, blades, grips, etc.).
Until one day, a mate of mine said "hey, it sounds like your rear bearings on the way out". So out came the engine, and in went a new rear engine bearing.
Not only did it fix the "rattle of death" from my OS50 Hyper, but it also fixed that tail vibration !
Still don't quite believe it.......but it's never come back again, even though the engine has been through at least on more rear bearing.
Just a thought

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

If the whole heli is shaking, I'd be looking at the sideframes having gone weak.
Quick test, take the canopy off, put one hand over the top of the aileron servos (to hole the heli) and grab the head with the other.
Move them in opposite directions.
You will definitely have a small amount of movement in there, but if you're seeing quite a lot, it could be time for new sideframes.
My mates did exactly this (shook it's bum off) and we eventually narrowed it down to the sideframes - changed and fixed.

Iv seen some people talking about this problem of shaking and also on mine, but something thats not been said is to check you main shaft bearing blocks are all in line perfect.
Some people have found that undoing the bolts for all 3 bearing blocks then spooling the heli up so its light on its skids and this will bring the blocks in to position then land and tighten up.
Im having same problem with mine as you are having and will try it this weekend but its helped others with this problem so might be worth a tryProud member of the Mk Heli Club
