  • Trex 600 shakes

Hi guys, hoping some people will throw some good ideas at me here. I've had my 600 nitro sport for about 2 years from new, and for about a year it flew fautlessly, but for the last year the whole heli has developed a shake which gets worse with higher headspeed/unloading the head in a neg pitch desent. Has never had a big crash, and have replaced all the below in an effort to fix but the shake is still there!!
Main blades, whole tail, main shaft and bearings, flybar and paddles, head bearings and feathering spindle

Any ideas what it might be are welcome! The latest suggestion is to replace the regulator incase it causes some interference, am flying on PCM 35mz

Head dampners? The rubbers inside the head block? They wear quite quickly on the 600.

Oh yeah have changed them as well, went back from 3d dampers to the orig grey ones last week, the last bunch of changes made it slightly better! Thanks though!

How about engine tuning? Is it running too rich/lean?

Does the whole heli shake or is it more pronounced in one area? Does the tail go up and down or left to right?

Engine runs like a dream, whole heli shakes, not just the tail. It's all over

Cheers mate few of the guys at my field have got 600s so might try it, thanks for the offer though. Have changed the head bearings already.....

I'm giving the 600 one last session of trying to be fixed then I will just buy another 600 airframe and chuck my gear in it

have you checked the thrust bearings?
nice and greased? and the right way round with the right amount of balls in?
                            Cheers Paul

If they are plastic main shaft bearing holders these can wear and allow the main shaft to wobble
