What a difference the alloy starting block has made on my 600n,its just soooooo quiet now...worth doing,the plastic one wasnt holding the bearings tight and was getting a bad noise,alomost like when the engine bearings are going

Hi Paul,no,its plastic,but its new so ok at the mo but will deffo replace if it when i get some play in it
I did replace the bearings too,but for the money align really should throw in the bearings with the block

Exactly what i went through Tony,thats why i replaced itive noticed some noise coming from one of my 600s and thought it was coming from the clutch block,changed the bearings out and its still there,a bit quieter maybe so i might try a metal block next time im flush

Its dead quiet now

No they didnt andy,im guessing the starter i used didnt help,rubber cup type with wand,always had a wobble no matter how well you had it fitted...im gonna get one from quick uk tommorrow,one that bolts onto the shaftI was just thinking if the bearing started to turn in the plastic housing for any reason it would very quickly wear the plastic. In your original post you said they didn't fit very well.
