Interesting.... was it ever announced that the LE had a different clutch?

I assumed all spec was near the same as the NSP apart from the metal elevator arm, canopy and shinyness.

No Mark, and it looks like it was never tested. A fix for the recent spurt of clutch failures perhaps?

I flew my 600LE a lot this weekend and while I guess mine does rev a little higher than usual before picking up the blades, it's not so high that I'm concerned by it. I've seen worse for sure

That said - I'll keep an eye on this!
          Cheers,

Nick Ginger told me Tom's wallet is slow to start when the drinks are to pay for.

Try the original clutch, Mine works ok.

Just replaced by sons 600 clutch when it broke after two years service. Pre-breakage - no problem with high revs and spool up.
After replacment - the heli is screaming its knackers off before spool up (which is very quick when the clutch engages!). The liner looks brand new and is only 0.25mm thinner than a new one so wasn't changed.
The air gap although not measured is several mm's!
Could there be a different/bad batch of Align clutches?
                  Would a 700/R90 liner help?
