But how many are sponsered pilots??

I thought everyone has a Trex because of how cheap they are on spares & because you can buy the parts everywhere & everyone & their dog has one. Hearing of others & seeing that vid of a 700's tail shearing off is for me a massive "no thankyou" to a 700. Thing is the price is just such a good deal.
Yes the big sigpic is coming back

Nothing wrong with the 700 at all, a brillient machine.
The only fault i ever had with mine was 1 stripped main gear.
And as said by Tim, every machine has the odd issues, my auroras have stripped a main gear, sheared a torque tube in flight so even the top end machines aren't fool proof.
You will love the 700, go for it

Think it realy depends on how hard you fly to how likely it is to fail in flight.
Most of us saw the one that blew up at the champs a few seconds into it's flight
these things happen but are normaly down to one component that has been stressed
that then starts the chain reaction.
If you like your 600 your going to absolutly love the 700, guaranteed.
As long as it's built well & setup correctly it will win you over
          I've no doubt of it.
I personaly wont keep a heli thats a pig to get flying or keep flying,
thats why i've had so many. most get sold quickly when they prove to be an arse.
I'm keeping my aligns tho 450 pro 600 pro 700 pro.
I've recently put a toe back in the jr melting pot with a vibe 50 but I've no intention of ever moving away from align.

            Well said Martin.

everytime i walk away from buying an align heli, i tend to wish i haven't, i would love right now to have 2 700's instead of 2 auroras, not because they fly better but because of spares costs, but i have made my choice and i will stick with it.
What i am really waiting for is to see the new 600 and hopefully 700 that will apear next year, though the LE versions are more that enough for most mear mortals

crashes get quite expensive - you may miss the 600 for that reason.
Otherwise, I'd gladly fly 700 instead of 600 every time.

James and Tim are spot on. My 600's have been super reliable and my 700 has been just as good.

Yeah that's why I was asking about reliability -I don't really crash any more so I was more worried about whether it would decide to crash itself! Anyway, this thread has made reassuring reading so I may well be putting my 600 up for sale some time soon. Thanks all!

I think all RC helis are unreliable. Never a week goes by without tales on here of them falling out of the sky!

I wish I could say the same..

Fact is if you want to progress you will crash like it or not.

Haha -yes that is true. I think I could definitely push it a bit harder but I'm still happy to make slow and steady progress -just a bit worried about the old bank balance! Only had one minor incident this year involving a rogue tree branch -main damage was to pride.

Make that most of us I reckon.
I know I can push harder but I cant stand feeling
bad when it all goes south the mental pressure aint worth it.
