Hello all,
I thought I'd share some pictures of my Trex 700 build. The maiden flight was today so I feel qualified to write this post now. The build was great fun, however because of feedback from forums I made the following changes:
1. Microheli delrin mod 1 main gear and pinion
2. Stainless steel screws (+ CNC washers)
3. Quick UK canopy mounts
4. Quick UK ball link upgrade
5. Quick UK servo horns
6. Align aluminium clutch block
The engine is an Align 91H wit the Align pipe. I'm also using the following electronics:
1. R6008HS RX
2. BLS252 Cyclic
3. GY611 + BLS251 Tail
4. Throttle Jockey Pro + S9154
5. Arizona Regulator (Cyclic 7.0v, Gyro 5.0v) + Relion 5200mAh
6. Switchglo
The first flight was good, the heli was really stable although because I'm running the new engine rich I didn't really feel it had the power I expected. Twin needles is new to me so on my next session I'll start to experiment a bit more.
I think the canopy was also rubbing on the main gear, this might be because of the Quick UK mounts so I'll try spacing them out a bit. There was also another rattling sound, if the heli was older I'd say it was like a bearing going. Right now I'm a little suspicious about the Align pipe. Thoughts are welcomed...
A quick note on the Throttle Jockey Pro. People on other forums have had problems with it on the new Futaba HS receivers. I found that using the two legacy channels (7 & 8) coupled with slowing the GOV channel down a little enabled me to enter governor setup even in HS mode. The governor also seemed to behave very well at the field, so I'm happy that I can use it. Forums can get you worrying a little too much...
Anyway, pictures attached. Hopefully I'll have more once I get it setup correctly, I'm really hoping for big things over my current Trex 600.

It's now back to it's original main gear and doing fine.
