Did u rotate the flybar afterwards ? if so y was it loose

That is correct I freed the fly bar from the leading edge on both blades afterwoods.

Nothing was loose.

Had the flybar gone under or over the blades?

The only thing I can think of is the blade lagging dramatically, collecting a paddle, then returning to normal flight. Boom strike? Or perhaps an aggressive startup causing the blades to temporarily fold back?

If thats the case why is the damage on the trailing side of the blades as I cant see any damage on the leading edge.

I'm thinking the same thing that unwind-protect is saying.

The rotor system spooled up very quickly, the blades lagged all the way back and hooked the paddles, then the blades straightend out, bending the flybar forwards.

Or less likely the blades folded back on landing or in flight hooked the flybar then straightend out again, bending the flybar forwards.

If it happened early enough then it may explain some of the issues with how the model felt during the flight.

I guess its possible, but I don't recall spooling up very fast.

The scuff marks are on the leading edge, the paddles left a white film there. I wouldn't say its damaged the blades as the are smooth still.

The flybar was under the blades and the paddels were jammed on the leading edge.

The blades must have hooked onto the flybar and bent it around as you spooled up.

If you had spooled up quickly they probably would have sprung free (or broken) but a gentle spoolup would slowly bend the flybar.

You couldnt cause those sorts of bends by accelerating or decelerating the head, the damage must have been caused by the centripital force of the blades when they were hooked onto the flybar.

Amazing that it still flew.

Never seen anything like that before, must be a iffy flybar or a vibration issue, does the flybar bend easy?

Well guys thanks for all you suggestions.

Just been out for a spin, the heli flys but there is vibration at tic over and in flight tail is very sensitive as if the gyro gain is too high.

Dropped the gain from 55% to 50% and then 45% and still the same. Took the canopy off just in case it is causing the problem with gyro and the tail is still waggling.
Had a good look around everything is in order and where is should be!

One of the guys suggested the end bearing might be on the way out or damaged causing a vibration which is effecting the gyro, hence the waggling on the tail, so I guess that would be next to replace.

Any other suggestion guys ?
