Can't fault you for addressing this subject here Mattie and the more feedback presented to Align the more they have to take note.

You can't tell me the likes of Alan Szabo and other hard 3D stick bangers don't strip gears so either they know about it and are just brushing it under the carpet or they are busy rectifying the problem as we speak.

On a personal note I have never had one strip (as yet) with around 10 gallons through mine.

bert has said before he's never stripped a gear on his machines. i find that incredible myself with the punishment his machines get. that said his were maybe better machined as pre production kits, use better stuff....i really don't know....guessing.

          cheers

I saw a few gears go at the Vegas fun fly...

Not any of the Align team though, oddly enough

As they are Align Team members they are obviously far higher caliber players than the rest of you and can feel the gears start to go and back off a bit

Well that's possibly the Align version anyway

I don't know if raising the issue on this forum will have any bearing on whether Align address the problem or not.
Perhaps a mail to the customer services dept may have more wieght?
Do any Align representatives visit this site?
How do we know that Align are not looking into the problem already?
It stands to reason that if they are bringing out a modified part then they probably are. The fact they choose not to post about it anywhere doesn't mean something isn't being done.
Also a few of us on here have made suggestions on what we believe to be the fix (3rd bearing block/mod 1 gear/cnc clutch block) but how do we know what the fix should be?
We don't have an engineering dept at our disposal to analyse the problem in detail and some of the suggested fixes may be throwing good money after bad.
I do agree that there is a problem here and that Align should address it but as long as they keep selling 700s then I can't see them worrying too much about it.
Hopefully the problem will be addressed and their rep wont suffer too badly from this incident. However, the longer they leave it the worse it is going to get.

Im sure that there is at least one Align rep on this forum that must read about the problems people are having with this and screws made from cheesium. Maybe its just a case that they aint listening to what is fed back to them.

its the main reason i didnt buy one when i was after a 90, so i think its about time they sorted it once and for all, they are definately loosing custom over this. Id be interested to hear what BobJ has to say about this, as surely he has some sort of contact with the factory as a distributor?

usually if I put something like this on my homepage I get an email inside a couple of days. The questions is really exactly what to put that would create action. Last time I did this it was to report shafts snapping on the 600E motor and it got fixed pretty sharpish.....my homepage at the time carried the story 'dont buy 600XL motors'
