Not mine Mattie...I spotted it on RR. This is What Mr Mel did I think it was on RR but poss Helifreak. The difference was Mel just wedged the brg block between the frames somehow with no screws! not sure how.. From memory I think he used a bit of a Trex 500 mainshaft and brg.

I like the idea but not keen on the extra holes. The washers (piccy added now) look a good idea too. But they were done elsewhere already I think..

I though I'd better grab the photo's as MR Pinks/Deletes folk trying to sell stuff very quickly without paying advertising.

        Food for thought

I best dust off Solidworks and get some CAD drawings made up.

Sorry for lack of details Ash,

I really like the idea of supplying a template as it takes out all the guesswork. Just fit the block in situ. Then line up the template to the block, mark it out..Remove block..A few bits of paper towel for the shavings and drill. Reassemble..Job done.

Not that I'm up for pinching the idea, We just need Quick UK to do something similiar.

OK Ash I get the first one free..You get one for the drawings..QUK support the UK economy..LOL

Yeah, imagine some useful information (albeit a product) for Trex700 helicopter pilots being available on a website... how very dare they!

                LOL
                Cheers,

you do not need to make any custom parts guys. i'm doing same mod now.

all you need is a trex 500 main mast, trex 700 main mast bearing and replace the bearings to suit.

                    cheers

Amazing Rob...its lasted a few hours.. MR must be having an afternoon Nap.

Hi Paul, does the 500 shaft fit straight up? Also when using a 700 bearing block which one are you using. I assume its your now spare Engine pinion block?.

Q2 does the pinion brg fit the 500 shaft?

Q3 doesthe brg block clear the fan cowling Ok?

                          thanks Brian

                            barney,

the trex 500 shaft fits in there and the block you will need to buy another trex 700 main mast block/s. i need 2 blocks so i will keep the pair but maybe you can split it with Ian and that way cost will be about 10 quid each. obviously you will need to cut the main mast down etc unlike that kit. if the kit was available and similar price i'd order it. just saying you don't NEED custom parts. you will need to replace the bearing to suit the new 8mm mast at the bottom.

btw i have not tried this yet but it has been done before.

                            cheers
