Sorry to butt in on the thread but just a quicky on the cleaning, I know it won't suit everyone as it costs more than a simple cloth but at least doesn't force anything into your bearings. Sao seeing that you also have a background in RC cars, judging by your comments on tuning car engines, I use the Schumacher Nitro Blaster that you can buy in a spray can from hobby shops. I just spray some on a rag/cloth so your not spraying it directly onto bearings and flsuhing them and then just wipe the heli over.
Then I learnt not to leave anything in the way of the plug hole when you are clearing the excess fuel or it'll get covered in it
