Trex 600 Sport Build

I heard this RCE600 gyro is good for electrics but too sensitive to vibration to be good on a nitro. Is this true?
I think steelie600 was running one on a nitro weren't you?

Isn't the sport the one with the belt drive that dont work.

anyhow. i suppose there is a link between 3d performance and reliability.

if its gonna have 300 notes worth of ballast hanging off it maybe some top notch electrics might be the way to go.??

The 401 does it for me - easy to setup and flew solid straight off the workbench, its certainly good enough for scale. And no need to spend a vast amount on super fast billy whizz servos neither.

That sings my tune - I'm not looking for cheapie, but mainly ease of build/set up/installation!! I'm not looking to do any more in terms of manouverability etc, than what you'd expect the real thing to do day-to-day..(Lynx's excepted!!)

I've flown one on my Trex500 a couple of times briefly - not had a chance to put it through it's paces in terms of 3D flight yet as I've had "issues" with the 500 - however, the tail held fine in the gentle bimbling I have done with it on there, so I suspect it's easily as good as the 401.


True, but the align offering is a shed load cheaper...

The only difference is the 401 is long term proven - Align gyro hasn't been available long enough as yet to have that same said about it.
My gut feeling is that it will be fine.

The Align one for 30-50 machines with a tail servo for the 600n is 120 pounds

The one for the T-rex 500 is 67 pounds inc tail servo (which is a LOT cheaper than the futaba offering)

so he'd need the 120 pound one same as me if I get one for my scale machine.

yes you can get the pod and boom kit for it
you get the mechanics and tail gear box in one box
and the boom, fins and canopy in another box
this is so you don't have to buy the pod and boom bit if you're going straight into scale with it

Wow I know inwoods are cheap but thats a good.

I am also looking at a 600 n for sports flying and eventaly maybe mild 3d will these servo's be ok for that?
