If you're sticking the header tank to the side of the main tank then run a bead of Zap-A-Dap-A-Goo all around the joint, it seals it and stops fuel getting at the double sided tape and sticks like the proverbial to a blanket. I did this on my 600 over 12 months ago and you can still pick the heli up by the header tank.

I did the exact same thing - alcohol to clean and degrease the main tank and the header tank, applied sticky foam pad to header tank, ran all around that with silicone sealer, then stuck it to the side. It lasted perfectly from doing that until 3D Championship weekend where it manages to fall off on competition day... and AGAIN (having redone it all after day one) on competition day two!run a bead of Zap-A-Dap-A-Goo all around the joint
Shocking!!
You could drill a hole in the side frames and mount a header tank to that hole using a standoff that would clear the main tank - but I never planned on keeping the 700 so I didn't want to go drilling it etc... in hindsight, I should have done as the next owner would likely have appreciated that particular mod anyway... ho hum! What's done is done!

Just do what you did before rob, but stick a tie wrap round the whole lot.
Then the double sided sticky tape doesn't have a chance to peel off.www.heli-extreme.co.uk a good club in south Sheffield

original post has been forgotten
is this because if you fit a header tank like rob did you never blow clutches and you can have 100 flight.but they last 30 seconds each
joking
bubble gums the next method and pieces of string
ill try picking my helicopter up by the header tank and if it falls off i can at least chew the gum
cheers craig simmonsBlack Country Helicopter club.

Just nail it on. Lets face it that .90 is sucking the fuel out of the thing so fast you'll never notice the leak!www.heli-extreme.co.uk a good club in south Sheffield

Ho hum......It seems there is no possible reason why the starter doesn't seem to turn the engine over. The one way inside the clutch is fine. So is the one one the starter shaft. That only leaves the one in the main gear. To make matters worse I noticed the exhaust port, and took the head off. The engine was swimming in oil though, despite it having partially siezed. After the emergency auto I had sucessfully restarted it in the garage though, which might have re lubed it. Strange thing is after the emergency auto 5 mins into the flight (which I assumed was due to a grip link breaking), the engine was happily idling away??????
I had landed and checked engine temps 2 mins into the flight, and richened it up a click due to only being able to hold my finger for 5 secs. 3 mins later, down it comes?
Is there any point in claiming under warrenty. The engine was only 4 weeks / 3 gallons old? Am I wasting my time?Oliver Crawford - Align 12S T-rex 600e, Align 610 x3, Spartan 760, tail Align 620, Scorpion 4025-630 KV, Bec pro, Castle Creations HV 80A ice.

I had the same problem (scoured the bore) so took it back to Fastlads where I bought it.
They sent it back to Ripmax for me, It came back with a new piston/piston ring and a new cylinder liner all FOC.
Thank you Fastlads and thank you very much Ripmax.
BTW: My engine was 1 gallon old.

It won't be the one-way in the main gear as that has nothing to do with starting the engine up. You can remove all the head and main gear assembly and still start your engine...
Your engine internals look badly scratched Oliver... there seem to be some sever scratch marks down the piston and the piston ring, plus the liner looks terrible - which could be just the photo, I don't know?
If that's not just some freaky reflection inside the engine, that things stuffed - what the heck has gone through that???
I've had another thought on the starting issue.
Is the starter wand turning, or is it spinning in the rubber cup due to the engine being hydro-locked and not turning over at all?
With the glow plug out, can you turn the engine over using the starter wand in the starter coupling? By hand and also by driving it with your starter.
I also seem to recall having an issue occasionally where the one way bearing would slip momentarily, so everything just span freely but the engine didn't turn over.
If those pictures are a true image of how the engine internals look and not just odd reflections etc, I'm afraid the starting issue is not your main concern (I'm really curious if something has gone through your engine... it looks terrible!!)
