When you get it do you feel that rc heli flying is represented in the magazine in a balanced format or doe you feel we are second rate.

How can it be balanced when 90% of it is fixed wing.

I guess to be fair the Heli side has always been smaller but these days the split must be much better than that The problem is the PSOG's like living in the past

Just going through Aprils mag and theres 72 pages in it... only 6 of them mention anything to do with helicopters. 2 of those pages im talking about are only small adverts for fuel and a heli. So thats 4 pages with informative helicopter information.
          Speaks for itself i say.

magazine is proper tonk! Two pages of helis? Not exactly a thrilling read! Mine usually go's in the bin ,when I used to fly glow helis I used to place the magazine under the HELI to catch the oil drips!

Not balanced at all but then I guess it is down to Heli flyers to provide more content, we could try wearing the old buggers down with endless heli articles

True, but as example. Event's plugged on the front page have all been fixed wing, slope flying etc. Even in months when a decent heli event or F3C comp would be taking place.

Not saying there isn't a prejudice there, because there definately is.

But heli flyers need to be in a position to replace the dinosaurs as they die out and I don't believe they are in position at the moment.

The BMFA in no way takes into account the popularity of heli flying in this country, it has grown and moved on, the BMFA hasn't!!!

Every club has to give to the BMFA the order of preference for the disciplines flown at thier field.

If you do the no's which I did and took me ages to grab the info from the BMFA site - heli's as a discipline covers over aprox 30% of all the club's preferences throughout the member club's.

I flip through it and then shred it for my rat "gizzie" to make a bed of it... Have to admit she prefers newspapers.... instead of the outdated and out of touch of gezzers with planes rag

One heli advertised on inside page shows some effort is being made!
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Its a great place to advertise, after all every BMFA member gets a copy that said the advert helps to fund the mag not the other way round, i.e. its not any effort on the BMFA's part other than the layup for printing.
