Oldesloe in winter looks very nice indeed. Better still, with the snow on the trees in this version it will be easier to see the model against them. Looking good.. lovely clear shots

Always when I try to download sceneries from the mediafire, there comes this: ''Invalid File. This error has been forwarded to MediaFire's development team.'' So I can't download nothing from there. Does someone other have same problem, or am I the only one...?

constructive critisism i hope
hi bob they are both very pretty sceneries to fly in. but the water level in colonsay feels like its slightly higher than it should be . the ground doesnt seem to fall away down to the waters edge.
loch insh is great for nice low passes up and down the river

Hey Ron,
Thanks for the comments. Colonsay was my first work with water in Creator. In the original image the water line is actualy a beach with gentle wavelets. Therefore the relative waterline is high. Since Creator doesn't do wave action I just ran the height map to the edge and gently dropped off. The image in general really didn't appear to sit right in the cube system therefore some angles look weird.
Thanks again

(i've fished there a few times in the past too

you can tweak the image angles in creator using the pano orientation tool by the way____

Bob
thanks for this one.
always great to get more flying sites
i'm nearly finished work on a beauty of a scene which will be here soon.
(i'll post it over at freaks too so you don't miss it)
Edit.. Bob a quick question.
have you ever had problems with the creator not exporting the cubemap or the scenery icon properly (the icon i can fix myself as its just a single image)
but the cubemap is 6 images in 1 file.
i noticed your cubemaps are working fine so maybe you've worked it out?
nice collision model in the latest one by the way.
what was that mostly height maps?... must have taken ages
the only suggestion i would have would be to change the bushes so you can't land on them.
maybe 5 or 6 rows of skyline objects all parralell to cover the area of the bushes..
that way if you do try and land on them the heli will still hit but go down between the objects.Last edited by chemicalbro; 02-04-2009, 07:56 PM.____

I have been running the images through Real Flight 4.0 for the dds files, and just run with the results. They seem to be working OK. Export with no problem.have you ever had problems with the creator not exporting the cubemap or the scenery icon properly (the icon i can fix myself as its just a single image)

I agree about the bushes. Originally I tried rows of spheres but canceled that. I was ready to close this project so I just opted for an elevation change and be finished. I saw another guy do it, so I took the short cut. I like the idea of the skyline!! Beside's...the only suggestion i would have would be to change the bushes so you can't land on them. maybe 5 or 6 rows of skyline objects all parralell to cover the area of the bushes.. that way if you do try and land on them the heli will still hit but go down between the objects.
your really supposed to fly above all these items and really shouldn't worry about the ground detail... Not!!! - How many people spend their first flights in a new scenery checking out the collision goodies? Me!!!!!!
Cheers and Thanks!!
