Scenery links not available at the moment guys, sorry for this and i shall try and work on a happy solution

    Hi guys
here are some new flying sites i've done.

credit for the panorama photos in files 1,2,4,5 and 6 goes to Harald Bendschneider (the vegas one.... not sure who did those photos)
phonix conversions, lighting and collision objects by me.

once downloaded simply extract to My documents/phoenixRC/flying sites
They are all in Rar format so if you don't have winrar go to rarlabs and download it.

if you change to one of these sites and your heli isn't visible , go to model/set position ... then scroll around to find the starting positions
(I didn't realise at 1st that there HAS to be a position called default1)

1.Tellingste. a nice open flying field

2.Luebeck airport . added some little RCHA touches and a cool heli pad just to see what can be added to the scenes (see if you can land on the plane wings )

3.Las Vegas. This one has been kicking around for a while but never with a collision model or decent lighting.

4.Fischen. My favourite flying field of all (including the original phoenix ones ) credit for these photos goes to Ronald Bankert

    5. Meadow (really cool open field, nice and bright without a washed out sky)

6.VTFE (really small field in Germany among the corn, good fun this one )

i've got some more to upload and i'll post them here when i get the time.
    Enjoy

    Alan

Can't wait to get home and download them! Can they be easily modded in photoshop like the skins you posted or does it require a PhD in Phoenix Creator?

I'm after doing a very simple scene of my local club. and took some panorama photos but need to stitch them together - any tips?

PS - Oh, and an appeal to Stuart to make this a "sticky" subject along with the skins thread.

these are 100 % done in the creator
(except for the RCHA banner on the fire truck at the airport and the wee heli pad..
those were added in photoshop BEFORE going into creator).

For me its pretty easy but then i'm a seasoned 3d modeler (been using lightwave for about 15 years) so the creator is very basic compared to what im used to.
but if you've never used 3d modeling software before i'd say it would be pretty difficult to get your head round.

tips on your flying field ... yeah send me the photos and i'll do it... doesn't get any easier than that eh

ps i'd also like some feedback on the scenes i've posted. any collision objects that should be there and aren't etc..

Thanks Alan, I just d/l the files and am looking forward to trying these out when I get home tonight.

Thanks also for including the pxf files, It always nice to see how it was done and how the obstacles were created.

if they would release a bloody proper aircraft editor/model importer then I could model that Aurora everybody wants

realflight has a HUGE user created content database.
usually if a new heli is release its on there to fly in realflight within days.

A very kind offer, many thanks. I've taken a heap of photos in a spherical pattern (all at the same exposure level) with a DSLR at 24mm focal length and can provide some dimensions/distances to objects if this helps. Do you need anything else? pm me with your e-mail address and I'll send the (compressed) files.

ok cool.... whats a heap of photos? (looking at needing around 40-50 and at least 8Mp for a decent looking site)

don't need dimensions/distances really but include them anyways

to be honest it would be best to upload them to somewhere like mediafire.
                            then send me the links
it's going to be a HUGE amount of data to send by email.

P.S . not promising anything at the moment. I'll have to see the shots 1st to find out if they are suitable (24mm seems a little low focal length to me and it may cause parallax distortions if you didn't use a panoramic head). so just post 1 360 row at 1st to test.
if they are not suitable i'll give you some tips on how to get the right shots and how to make your own easy peasy pano head
