alan, just to confirm i'm not hung up over it anymore. i've accepted it's not fixable and i live with it accordingly. if i want to practice i fly offline and if i must fly online i'd rather kick the cat than spend 15 mins trying to join an online session.
p.s no cats were harmed in the making of phoenix
cheers

yes when i host a session i get the "welcome to Phoenix online"
but after about 30 seconds i get a problem message in red about problems with the phoenix server and my session will not be displayed which could be because of my router or firewall
I am very much under the impression there are loads more sessions being run that we can't actually see. I find it a stuggle between 6-10ish to get into or run a session. I suspect my ISP uses throttling software at peak times.
Often a PC re-boot does wonders or connecting to another website in the background to get online with Phoenix.
When Phoenix does a version update I find it beneficial to run in windowed mode for a few minutes as my Anti-virius will prevent Phoenix accessing the net. I will get a Pop up asking to accept Phoenix first. It possibly considers the update a new threat/program.
My 3 main gripes with Phoenix. Gravity (please Phoenix add a gravity strength slider) Its too floaty.
Pitch response is to slow near midstick or just plain weird..(thanks Edders). Adjusting things just compromises the models in another area.
Multi player is still a struggle.
cheers Brian
