Do you have to play woth controller

Hey guys i know this is a weird question but do you ahvr to play with the controller or can you do it with the arrow keys because my dad can get me the game with no controller

Phoenix comes with a dongle to fit JR and spektrum and maybe a few other TX (controler/transmitter).

AFAIK theres no way to play without a TX. If your on a tight budget, the HBK2 esky heli TX always pop up on ebay and can be used with a £5 lead for the sim.

What use would that be then?
The whole point is that it simulates real flight! If you learnt to fly using your keyboard, how's that gonna help when you switch to a Tx?

the whole simulator is dear and i just need a lead that will go to my computer to the controller

Okay i am gunna have to get it after my heli and heli will stay inside till i get the phoenix sim

you can only get the lead with the sim it cannot be bought seperately,also phoenix has copy protection so it won't work without the correct cable

Sounds like a pirated game to me ... Tbh phoenix is about the best you can buy for the money its cheap .. IF IT saves you one crash of a nitro then its made its money back ... Plus its made by a british company so you are also supporting a uk based company which in my eyes is even more nice ... AND NO !!! you cant use phoenix without the dongle that comes with it

I'm sure some of the CX2's I've seen come with an Esky sim. I've never seen or used it so can't comment on what it's like.

Go and visit a local club, maybe arrange one of them to show you phoenix on there laptop, just save and buy it! I thought it was pointless, and sold my sim twice, but ive still got one now, even though i cant use it on linux still!!!!

Just buy the sim! if you dont like it you will get a good deal of your money back for it when you sell it!

use FMS for now, its free and you can setup a joystick or use keys.

Dont bother wasting your money on anything else though, just save it for phoenix. You'll be telling others the same once you've used it.

the fms is free but you can get an esky usb controller and fms on disk for £12. i started with fms and liked it at did help. some of my friends who had ago on fms was useless so it does take some skill and does help but is nowhere as near as good as phoenix. id get fms is i was you while you save up for phoenix.

your betting off getting the fms and saving £200 for a blade cx2 and phoenix - you can use the transmitter that comes with the cx2 on phoenix aswell.

is abit laggy because of the hypercam- without the hypercam fms runs very smooth
