Just received my copy of AccuRC through the post this morning and just wondered what people’s first impressions were?
For myself – it was a PITA to load up – not just the length of time (already mentioned on their Facebook page), but mine would not load up and kept aborting saying that the installation was interrupted and to re-try. After the 3rd attempt, I gave up and passed it to my 16yr old son.
He managed to get it working, but had an Active X problem (?). He e-mailed support (quick response) and they suggested uninstalling Active X and reload AccuRC. Well, it worked.
My first impressions on flying (for half an hour) was that it was similar to Phoenix (I own Phoenix & RealFlight), but not as good as RealFlight. I was not overly bowled over by it, but it worked OK.
For example – I did my first (messy looking) piro loop this weekend at the field. It still looks messy on RealFlight, but on AccuRC, I was a 3D god and it looked perfect – almost too easy.
I must emphasise that this is my first impressions and my views may change after having time to tweak it and become familiar with it. I am looking forward to have a play with the software and see what it can do.
