Hi
I have a trex 450 pro V2, with a stock 35amp esc, 3 blade rotor head, 2200mah lipo's, K-bar, AR7000 & sat, with x2 servos running retracts and also a lighting kit installed.
When I test flew the 'pod & boom' it was fine after a few annoying issues were resolved.
I tried to fly it a few weeks ago, but the pinion stripped off the motor shaft, I have now replaced that pinion and 'grinded' a flat spot on the shaft to stop the pinion from slipping. however when I connect the battery and do pre flight checks all servo's seem to jump a lot, and don't respond correctly when I give cyclic or collective input, it's a bit intermittent so to speak.
Also I noticed today whilst testing that the ESC gets really hot, I felt the heat through the CF frame, and thought mmmmm, that's a bit warm! and it was.
Am I overloading this esc with all the extra bits? and that's what's causing the heat up? and can this also affect the cyclic and collective inputs by causing the servos to jump around etc.. ie: with all the extra bits installed can the esc not provide enough power to the servo's to actually fly the heli?
any advice is appreciated.
Cheers
Andy
