Hi guys, let me explain this slightly as theres a few people going off track and i dont want Roban taking all the blame here...
Bear with Phil as hes not up to scratch with all the terminology (no offence mate)
As most of you know i'm not really a scale model flyer but i have dabbled once upon a time
Right... firstly there is/was no tracking issue on the head or tail. The blades track perfectly and did so from the word go. Vibration originally came from the front of the fus and was around the rocket pods area of the machine. Understandably really and i would expect to see flex around these types of parts anyways. Phil has recently stiffened this area up after we test flew it. Since then that has cured alot of the fus vibes but also transferred alot of it to the tail area of the model. As you will all be aware the Apache has a 45 degree bend and raised tail rotor section. This is where the vibration is currently at. That whole section is vibrating and causing what looks like tracking issues on the tail but its actually just the raised tail section flexing. Phil has recently balanced his main blades like i originally suggested. This has now cured 80% of the vibration issues on the tail.
After closely inspecting the tail blades he seems to have bad blades. I'll upload the video shortly.
Bud sending him some new tail blades by all account.Hopefully this will put the remaining vibrations to bed.Last edited by Made2Fade; 06-07-2015, 09:03 AM.

One of our chaps is going to post pics of the head of his later, the four feathering shafts being held in situ by flats and grubscrews looks frightening IMHO,,he says Roban are going to drill right thru on newer ones.
A single grubscrew on a flat surface, not that deep holding a bladegrip carrying a blade that big from ejecting!!!,,,wowLast edited by ChrisB; 11-07-2015, 12:56 PM.

It was a TF many moons ago, to be honest after it arrived I wished I hadn't got it the quality is very poor it took ages to bring it up to this
it could never be called scale as its the wrong model to be a proper longbow
I have loads of photo's and everything on it works

Excellent model. I love the way the MPD's light up in the cockpit. Does the horizontal stabiliser move in forward flight?Graham

Thanks a lot iam quite pleased with it it now iam going to scale it up as much as possible I think it deserves it , the stab on this model is fixed it was going to be a lot of work to make it move i thought about doing it but the mounting points are very small I couldn't figure out how to do it , I think the posistion of the stabiliser dictates the nose down angle when in froward flight I think anyway not quite sureOriginally posted by Granpappy View PostExcellent model. The horizontal stab is controlled by the flight management computer in normal flight but it is also used by the weapons control system to manage the nose up angle in conjunction with the weapons pylon actuators to allow ordinance to be released at the optimum angle.Graham

Its looking Awesome mate as does my club mates one in desert sand colour scheme.
An add on to Chris B"s comments on the head .
Heres a picture of the head block as standard and one after a mod I did to retain the feathering shafts by drilling and fitting roll pins though to stop any movement.
Were hopefully testing it tomorrow.Should be solid now.
Well worth doing in my opinion before flying it though mate as they will move on you and could wreck your heli.
Would hate to see that happen to you or anyone else for that matter.
