With the power side of things, why not use the 120 with the bec for ease and an opti back up guard which are easy to install and only £20-£30, just make the "Y" lead for the stick pack, install opti BUG and hey presto!

Ive used this set up on a few of my heli's, I've got similar set up on my 700dfc, but got a gryfon BEC wired into Y lead, so if you need any help or pics, just gimme a shout

It's a good vid, but for the full effect, you've got to watch one with a real turbine engine in it! This is the vid that got me into RC helis!

We have a couple of guys at our club with roban kit - one has finished the Apache and has had some pilots produced via 3d printing. Very cool....
looking good, would love one!

That turbine vid is awesome!

So it's now standing on it's own feet. Retracts are really good quality. The bushings didn't quite fit, so a small amount of work with a round file soon sorted that. A bit of trial and error, but they now lock up and down perfectly. They load up nicely under the weight of the heli, and the tension of the springs can be adjusted.

I have mine now as well and although i am not building it any time soon i have had a good rummage thru the rather large box to make sure all is well.

Its very well packaged up and agree the quality is very good indeed,very happy with it.

Going to run a Kosmik for the strong BEC and 1 minute spoolup time(awesome effect) along with a separate 2s Lipo for full power backup,a Pyro 700 motor, Silverline V Bar and servos undecided.

Will continue to follow with interest.

Good to see some scale interest here, so here is one of my vario's converted from petrol to 12s electric and flybarless and 6ft long.
I have seen a number of these Roban scale heli's and they fly and look very good.
