        century Longranger

        Well,
it had to happen ,my longranger met the ground after the tail rotor came off ? all my own fault as i had just replaced the whole assembly with an upgraded part and had not tightened the grub screw up.Damage is light i suppose but will need a set of mains ,an undercarriage, tail hub and a flybar.Body damage is a spot of flaky paint approx 2 inches long and the top mounting brackets pulled through.I have stuck it into shame corner until i get a day to sort it out,
off for a few stellars cheers Euan.

          longranger

          Good news,
I got the longranger back in the air after spending a bit of time doing repairs.Parts count was a feathering spindle, tail rotor hub,new set of links and a quick UK undercarriage, cosmetic repairs to underside of body shell took most of the time re painting and laquering.
I feel lucky as it could have been a lot worse, still was strange watching the tail rotor whizz past my head?
          cheers Euan.

'Sounds a bit scary but it seems fairly light damage considering. I'm glad to hear it's back in action.

That's interesting about the 37 running OK on straight fuel but not the 70. I was thinking recently about
the prospect of running the bigger nitros on low or no nitro fuel.

When I was flying the Raptor 30 with OS37 it seemed to be much happier on higher nitro and ran quite
            well on Magnum 20%.
