Been looking at some pics of Honda Cars that are Phantom Grey and they lookm about right, the Airwolf always seemed off black when in certain light or up close on the program but in flight it looked black

Done a bit of work to it last night, glued the mesh in to place on the top hatch as it will be the same colour as the bodywork, fitted the rear turbine nozzles and the top exhaust vents..

Used cyano to take them into place then epoxy from inside to permanently fix,,

pics later so far, next job is retract fitment, gotta get some servos of the correct size and the Century scale muffler ready for the Raptor mechanics

            Airwolf fuse

Hi. I have noticed that the Century/Funkey airwolf fuse doesnt seem to have side windows. Is this the norm ie access needed to get at the electronics?

            Thanks
            Wayne

I have pics of it so far

More pics soon of the stages up to this

I have fitted the mechanics and got all the mount points sorted so the part i was dreading most is over,,The Raptor 50 fits like a glove and there are no issues.

The mechanics are my oldest Raptor 50,i have fitted the head off my new Titan to it and put the full metal one it had onto the titan.

It will have a 611 gyro fitted and i need to fit the servo into the frames as per original spec.I have purchased another Spektrum Rx for it so it will be flying on that from now on

The mechanics are now ready to come back out of the fuselage and be re pod n boomed and testflown and final adjustment made with reference to the headswap, rudder servo moving and new Century muffler fitting to the Hyper 50 needle valve changes if needed..
Also i am gonna run it on Model Technics Techpower 10 as it does not smoke like magnum does..

Once all test flying is done and fuselage is ready for painting,i will fit mechanics into fuselage and connect up all remote glow and fuel filling parts and test fly in situ, once all that is done then its ready for stripdown and painting

                    More pics as promised
The top hatch mesh fitted, simply cyano`d it in place, pre cut mesh that was an easy first job

Then you glue on the dummy exhausts,i again cyano`d them to initially fix then epoxied from inside

Then i tackled the retracts, they need to be purchased separately but all the woodwork is pre fitted..
Used hitec hs255 servos that were made for the job, fitting was easy, you need 2 y leads,a servo reverser for the rear left servo and i have ordered a slow servo lead so they will deploy more realistically

                    The front one

Then i did all the measuring etc and drilled the holes for the mechanics,it was an easy job, once the holes are drilled in the fibreglass you glue wooden formers into the base to increase strength, the area around the front mounting points is also carbon fibre reinforced, very rigid, then you cut a hole in the bottom to allow cooling and glow plug access

Spent today setting up retracts so they all moved in sync, enlarged hole in the bottom to allow glow plug removal..

Removed mechanics from fuselage for now and putting them back to pod n boom with all alterations done for final sorting out...

Just waiting for the century muffler to arrive and the decent weather..

Fuselage itself is done for now, ready for mechanics refitting after testing for a full shakedown so to speak before final painting...

I am going to leave the right side window out for service access...

I have a remote fuel filer valve and remote glow mounted on a small bracket that will be fixed to one of the wooden formers inside the fuselage,it will be set back in but will be accessable, will also be able to reach the switch in its standard Raptor position with a small screwdriver or similar so i wont bother moving that..
