  • Bell 222 Build Begins...

I came across a Bell222 Body on BMFA and thought why not....

The Plan is to try and get a Vibe 50 inside it although the 140ccpm might have to become 120ccpm again but I think the Vibe 50 will fit just depends how it needs building up if at all to sit right... It also came Oleo retracts 100 pounds worth... they look like they fit a 60 body certianly not the century 50 body!

Also got my paint as well.. going all White then choosing my 2nd colour but no idea what it'll be!

Need to get Black main blades and black raptor paddles as well... Things to buy as always!

Should keep me busy for a while though

You're gonna stick a Vibe 50 in there? That's gonna be the most expensive set of mechanics ever to grace a Century fuz!

I have the Century Bell 222 prepainted with century mechs (uke) but am struggling to find the little time it would take to get it finished.

Look forward to seeing the finished article.

Well the airbrush has become a bad idea... It's okay for fine detail but nothing on this scale as I have discovered. although no nasty errors yet... It was one I had laying around and never used so there was no cost in trying out the airbrush really.

Switching to plan B and I spray it a different way....

why black blades.. Just looks better if a heli is light colours like white/yellow etc white blades do not look as good IMO.

But a set of SAB's look to be the right price and there not totally white so might tray SAB's on this once finished....

I had one of these. Not wanting to put the dampers on it but access was a nightmare If I did one again it would only be with electric mechanics!

The upside is a great looking model when complete
