Thanks all, it was somewhat nerve-racking.

This was the successful maiden hover, John (fortunately) didn't get video evidence of a minute later when I did manage to stack it and bend the tail-boom!!!

Hey-ho, all part of the learning curve, replacement bits arrived yesterday and I'll be learning a bit more about the DIY side of this hobby earlier than hoped

The first time I crashed by 450-3D I felt a little gutted - at the time, it was biggest/best helicopter. I found though that in fixing it, I learnt loads about it, and it made me relax a little so that when I crashed it again a few months later (doh!) I was less phased by it and just got on with fixing it.

Do you have a micro-heli too? I bought an mcpx soon after and used that to learn orientations etc. It brought on my flying with the 450 leaps and bounds.

Haha I had just stopped recording when that happened :P!

and yes Garth If the tail is wagging its usually down to the tail gain being to high, if the heli feels "disconnected" or the tail tends to stray and not "lock-in" that could be the gain to low or the head speed being too low

You learn a little everyday pal

            Cheers
