  • Can never get it to loop quick like the sim?

    Hi lads,

Was out last night practicing the FF and some more looping while in idle up anyway all seemed very well and the settup seems spot on. I am now wondering on the sim the slower i go the quicker it loops to the point were im still it will just flip over instant without any drop within reason, so last night for real this never seems the case im dropping 10 to 15 meteres before i finish the loop?? Its not a problem im going heigher anough but is there a way of doing the loop tighter or is it the diffrerence bewteen sim and real life and you will always get a drop?

Any feedback and advice will be greatly recieved

    Thanks

As you enter the loop you want to be giving more positive pitch then easing off the pitch to mid stick at the top (0) pitch, if you want wider loops put some negative in at the top and ease off the elevator, as your coming out the loop give more elevator and feed the positive pitch back in! hope that helps

Thanks paul, i think im doing what im supose to be and giving 0 pitch etc maybe its just the timing is out for me it feels like its going ok but hey supose more practice is needed, was wondering if the helis response was the issue and mybe tweak some settings thats all.

      Thanks

Not 100% sure if this is the correct answer or not but I learnt about this from the sim watching the training videos.

I practiced last night and it worked ok for me.

If you are talking about still loops then this will work, on the start of your loop in idle up bring the throttle back to mid stick and you will get a quicker loop, as long as you increase throttle just as the flip is finishing then you won't get any drop of height.

I am sure that someone will chip in if I am wrong (appols if I am)

Remember that the sim model is set-up perfectly and you are relaxed when using it. For most of us the real flying tends to being snatched from pucker factor and there is a loss of smoothness.

It may be worth rechecking your stick/pitch relationship mechanically since most sims use non-ccpm outputs and the PC does the calculaion whereas your TX will vary a bit. It depends on how high end your tx/rx are as to how easy these things are displayed on it's screen and then there is still a difference in effective response since as soon as you use a tx it's pots start to wear (reality)

Ultimately so long as you are getting the move safely it's usually a matter of settling yourself calmly and repeating until you get that timing and judgement for each model/tx combo. The wizz kids have the reflexes to adjust as they go where (reality again) most of us make the commitmment and pray

.just look at an F1 drivers ability to cope with unpredicatble behaviours and incidents...

Hi just thinking would it help to spin the heli in loop quicker is your head speed at right/capable RPM mayve try increase it more not to much and try that. I done it on my Raptor increased head spped more it was more responsive. Maybe im wrong but no harm in trying
              Thanks guys for wicked weekend
