barney, you must have had a duff set of maniacs lol............mines and matts at wf after going from radix we noticed no diff in pop. maniacs req less pitch for same pop which is maybe why some differences. that said we rarely fly in gales.

    cheers

I found the maniacs to be spongey on the collective _compared to_ radix on my 600e... The radix felt like they had more collective power.

I run as much as I can get on my leccies (rex 450+250) and a bit more than last time on my 600. Dont own a pitch guage.

i run +/-12 on my 600n and +/-12.5 on my 700n , both have 8 degrees cyclic pitch. I fly both on Byron 15% and they are great. Even full stick in pumps and climb outs do not bog the engines, 91hz in the 700n and hyper 50 in the 600n.

i find that weird. radix are probably the "spongiest" blade i've ever flown on my 600n. well maybe the sabs edge that one come to think of it. just goes to show why everyone likes what they like. is no right/wrong, just what works well for you.

my torsions just showed up this morning so i'm hoping they are like V blades without robbing the power.

            cheers

Radix are deffo spongy on cyclic, but not collective... That's prolly where we're getting mixed up...

I like the Torsion blades. My favourite of them is their 710mm blade which is amazingly good.
The 600 blade is also very good, but IMO it's not quite a V blade beater like the 710 seems to be.
Torsion have produced some excellent blades, and for the money (compared to V blades) they are right up there!
Just my current thoughts on it.
                Cheers,

Its Interesting how we percieve things differently. With a high mileage engine swapping from Radix 600 to Maniacs was a defo headspeed killer requiring a reduction in Pitch.

The Radix tend to cavatate a little more in hard Stops but for constant Climb rate/Autos they take a lot of beating. The Maniacs overall feel sharper...me I prefer the Radix between them.

TBH errr..I actually like the Cheaper GLX's V1 Extremes as they do fly rather well and dont break the bank.

Currently flying some Torsion 600's at the Mo.. reminds me very much of the Maniacs. But I have just reduced my Nitro Content from 30% to 16% as times are hard, so not really a fair comparision. They seem quite loady as per the BBT's. Stiff blade and track well.

I think the Radix are what you would call a 'Friendly' blade. Interestingly I would have thought Trev with his 8S 600 machine would have preferred the Maniacs as it defo has the power to turn them regardless.

                  cheers Brian

rob, thanks for the info. it is torsion 710's i have. i just opened the box and they are super stiff. i'll report back when i try them. just now i have maniac 703, sab 710, sab 685 reds, radix 710's, older sab 710 and torsion 710 for my 700's so a fair whack of blades. i also have V 690's which lasted about half a flight, terrible blades but the pop was amazing which i'm hoping the torsions will give. out all the ones above the maniac 703 are my choice on the 700 atm without trying torsions.

                    cheers
