Its amazing about the RG500, I have two friends with them and was only talking last week about the sudden increase in value. What i find amusing now is the physical size of them. When I was seventeen these bikes were huge and today they look so tiny. One of them has a 350lc too amongst other bikes from the 80's. Its always a nice trip down memory lane to see them.
I worked in the motorcyle trade back then. I think my favorite was the Honda CBX1000 never got to ride one though. Did get to ride GT750 kettle and its baby brother the 550 triple.

all those years ago I had the DT80mx as well.... started with the 50, given to me by the folks as a fire damaged write off for my 16th birthday. had learn to repair it before i could use it. the idea was that i would then take good care of it (and myself) if i had put some hours into it..... soon big bored it with the autissa kit, then bought the 80, big bored that, then bought the Dt125lc. great times as we all had similar bikes as teens and went around together on mass.....screaming and smoking!!!
trex 550 (HC3SX)
trex 600 nitro le (beastx)
compass 6HV (Spirit)
dx8.....
its not my dog by the way.
