That looks like the little extra 300 I have :) I broke the undercarriage on my first landing lol and just belly land every time since

Great for some "airwars" fun with other planks :)

Its actually very difficult to actually hit another plank when trying to :)

here you go kev as you can see the wire is starting to pull through the plastic retainer, just shows how much force it takes.
you can see much of the ply strengthener but its basicaly a strip of ply glued with epoxy drilled and half cocktail sticks dipped in epoxy pushed into the foam then another strip of ply epoxied ontop.

Would love to claim credit, but Ive not flown planes in over 25 years. Wot4's were just coming out last time I flew a plank :)

Planes aren't the dark side, they're the lighter side of flying. :)

The idea of putting a plane together in one evening is astonishing. Even ARTFs take me a couple of weeks to assemble and kit out. Full builds take months and months. But I guess that's the appeal of foamy elecky planes rather than wooden IC ones like wot I does.

Gonna fly my Sebart Angel this afternoon I hope in between the showers - my new YS70 four stroke is just about run in now and it's got soooooo much grunt. Bleedin superd.

Great machine buddy, good choice. Yes the U/C is a weak assembly, but the flyability makes up for that in spades. Easy enough to strengthen the structure for it to be nigh on bullet proof. They break if you hit the deck too hard, but a drop of hot glue or epoxy fixes no sweat. I loved mine till a soil hardness test won, the third time was just too much for it. You will like it I'll bet. Keep us posted.

I've got a few pictues of the undercarriage mods over on RCgroups. No matter how well you fix it to the fuselage, the original legs bends ever so easy. Mine is using piano wire and saddle clamps with larger wheels - flies great.

You should also have the higher rated esc as the first kits were not rated hgh enough.

The beauty of these foamies is that you can repair them with epoxy glue, I've managed to snap mine twice :cocksure:

the way harling has done it with the three clips works really well if its to heavy, the under carriage just folds back because the clips break :)
