i would balance the carbs before you go pulling the alternator off as it may be the carbs out of balance causing the knocking

and the slabby is a pussy cat
if your used to more modern bikes becareful of the brakes when you first ride it as they are rubbish compared to the newer bikes

That's exactly what i've just been told oldskoolsuzuki.info

      I'm used to riding 350lc's NS400 & a Gamma 500 so i'm only used to 80's hooligan bikes

Nice one P4ddy. Glad to hear it's running.

Connect up the phone to your laptop then upload the video direct from the phone memory to Youtube so we can see and hear:) Should get the sound too, hopefully.

        cheers

It was my mate who done it with the really old VGA quality camera. It's awful & we could only bluetooth it. Never mind.
You gonna video the momen t you get this beaut running? The suspense is awful lol,

                  Congrats on becoming a grandad
This was a couple of months back now & it was running pants but during some tweeks it was getting better. It was sucking in way too much air in this vid, i've got some new oil seals, adjusted the valve clearances & got a new alternator & need to get a perfict fit with the carbs & airbox before i video it again.
Got any pics of the 350?? I sold my 350 (375) to a mate who's responsible for re igniting the bike flame. I just totally love the Slabby look, especially the way the tank is high & the bars are low so you feel like your 'in' the bike rather than on it. 24yrs i've been waiting to own one.
Sorry it took so long to find them, not on computer.

If you have a surf around you will probably get a pukka workshop manual in PDF format a lot better than a Haynes manual.

Dont forget lets have lots of pics of the restoration.

Well to counter act the pennies i payed for the mid sections & the bellypan i've payed a premium for a nose cone. It's in the correct colours, the paint is VERY tidy but the only niggle it's minus the Suzuki sticker across the front. I've waiting sooooo long for the right one to appear & it had to be from the guy who only does buy it now. I couldn't risk it going to someone else so i payed............................................£120 ouch!!!!! but like i said i paid pennies for the rest.

. After flying a moment ago i'm thinking i need to take a short break from flying (maybe once a week instead of everyday) & concentrate on phase 2 of getting this beast finished. I need to get a cam cap fixed as i had a guy on oldskoolsuzuki.info repair it for me with a helicoil but the moment i tried to tighten it it just span loose, I've been strongly advised not to buy a single new cap & get this one repaired. Anyhow this warm weather today is making me really want to be out on the bike. I've been getting a fair bit of overtime at work now but instead of it going on new tyres etc it's going on the kitchen.
