• Yep, another thread destroyed by photo Fu..it. Even the video on YouTube has now gone because I was unable to log in and now YouTube refused to let be add it to my forced upon me Google account so my Heli channel has become redundant 😫😠 . I will upload it to my new channel Anyhow it's had a bit of a running gear makeover. WP forks and yokes (top one maybe srad?) 1100 slingshot wheel '5.5 in rear', Nissin 4 pots, TL1000 front mudguard (because it was very cheap) and TL1000 rear disc (because my slabby one was worn and the tl is the same without the price hike. Anyhow it feels far more planted on corners now, less floppy plus I have an abundance of tyre choice now and the bike looks have gone from awesome to badass.

If you are using Chrome there is an add-on called 'Photobucket Hotlink Fix' that makes all the pics show up as normal : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/photobucket%20hotlink?utm. This works a treat, i can see all your pics in the thread no problem. Nice bike. I had one of the first slab side GSXR 1100s back in the day, great bike, probably the favourite one I ever owned thinking back on it.

I dare say similar add-ons are available for other browsers.

• Tidy looking slabby :cheers2:

Looks like it might be wanting new front discs soon.

Are the forks off a slingshot?

• I was told they were srad but when I was looking for a spindle I discovered they are WP. Discs are fine but they don't look it in that pic. They are 15mn shorter than stock but it doesn't feel any different to me when cornering other than its not as floppy anymore.

I originally wanted to just swap wheels and keep the standard forks but a front end swap was far less hassle. Because it's a WP front I had to put a smaller top bearing in, cut the steering stops off the bottom yoke and weld a new one on. Anything up to the M is a straight swap which is what I would have preferred but I got the lot cheap. The rear just required the left hand spacer from the slingshot and everyone then shaves 2 mm from the calliper mount where the torque arm bolts on then put a washer inside to get clearance from the tyre. Not me, I got a spare torque arm, marked where it fouled the tyre then smacked it with a hammer. Loads of clearance without damaging an original part.
What I would like is about 1-2in more distance between the seat and pegs. I rode a mates with a cagiva seat unit and it felt way more comfortable and easier to move on the seat.

• the floppy on a slabby isn't great when you have a nutter on your number plate and you can't slow down a little when your going to fast

• This is probably the best upgrade I ever made to any of mine. Especially anything with those useless 6 pot Tokicos.
