Kol, the Stryker and Habu are both quite nice models, been quite tempted by one in the past.
An update on the Wasp E2K pylon racer, after about 10 or so flights it had a strange (so far) unexplained accident:
YouTube - Wasp E2K Crash
:(
Hey Danny.
Had a dozen flights with the Habu at the weekend. Love it. Just ordered some parts from jettec (balanced fan, cyclone 1200watt outrunner and 80amp esc) Should suck it along with 400 watts per pound instead of the standard 260. 4 or 6s nanotec battery and will only gain 30 grm.
A lot more fun with the habu than the Stryker though I haven't crashed the habu as yet, that might change my mind. Still, the stryker with a little bravery and space is really impressive.
Will post results of habu mk11 when parts have arrived and fittedNo, no. I meant to do that.

@Maderdog - Good on you mate, at least the kits are dirt cheap!
The elevator hadn't stripped in this case, but it must be bloody scary if it does!
I had another theory as to the cause of the crash, perhaps there was some kind of receiver malfunction. But if that happened I would expect it to cut power to the motor immediately which didn't appear to happen. But it's difficult to tell as it happened so fast that we might not be able to hear the difference in sound. I will double check that the motor cuts on signal loss.
@Kol - Sounds like a good weekends flying :-)
I was also looking at getting some upgrade parts from Jettec for my Hawk, this is the best I could find on their site:
C.S 70mm w/ Cyclone Power CS480 4100kv 1100watts motor
If there is something better out there that you know of please let me know. As the Hawk could really do with a more powerful setup to help get it off the ground easier.< Insert witty comment here >

I'm only familiar with the jetiger which is Simons. Seemed a bit under powered and a bit dull in colour (looks nice but doesn't show up so good). If you are after a delta wing you can't go wrong with a Stryker. A whole lot faster and more agile. If you are wanting an edf though the jetiger is well worth the small price. Just bling it up if it's too slow. I will have a look at the fun jet later. The 3s fits the Stryker and jetiger no problem but the Stryker will eat them if you allow it to.No, no. I meant to do that.

Ok. Fun jet has really tiny motor and esc. You can wedge a 2200 in it with some playing about. If you are going to bling it so it motors, again, Stryker shell and turnigy motor and esc and your hitting 70/80mph. Shells are only £20 and next day delivery. If you had your fun jet or jetiger out flying and someone else has even the standard Stryker you're going to wish, I want one of those. They sound like angry wasps and if you accidentally squat it, mitre glue 10 seconds and launch it again. Hope this proves helpful. No, no. I meant to do that.

Thanks for the input Kol. The Stryker I presume is more expensive, but you generally get what you pay for. Where in the UK sells them? Also, the 2 from HobbyCity are pretty cheap, and would be a good first model, which as you stated could be blinged up.
Just had another comparison. The Skyfun does not seem low in power compared to the Stryker, they have an 1800 brushless, for about the same weight. What i would like is a foamie delta /wing which I can chuck in the car with the other cr4p, and it doesn't need separate batts [I have about 6 3s 2200 to 2450 LiPos].Last edited by coptermanic; 27-03-2011, 12:05 PM.

Yes Gav, I thought it flew really well. Best I have found in the UK is this:
Parkzone F-27C Stryker radio control plane PKZ4275
and at £126 seems expensive. Nothing on EBay at the moment.

Buy your Stryker frame, including nose and covers, flaps and notify mount. Then buy hk electrics, servos included. The 6 pole parkzone motor is a great motor but you can match it for $19.00No, no. I meant to do that.
