The fact he's flying far too close and theres people walking around the fence no more than 20 or 30 metres away, surely you all see that.
I don't find this shocking at all. There are also cars going around, so what? How do you know it was 30 meters away anyway, could be filmed with really long lens.
It was a guess and I was merely replying to a post asking what was wrong with it. Very true could have been done with a really long lens didn't think of that, well spotted what was I thinking

i can see where this is going.... rem FLYING IN THE STREET ? ... everyone has their own opinion some are right some are wrong.. it will just keep going round in circles then the thread will end up closed....
He's clearly in control, in a way all of us envy. And lets be honest, hes flying like that and sponsored by Align for a reason and its not because he makes a good cup of tea. I'm sure he has top techs from Align checking his kit too.
Do the H&S police check the wheel nuts on their cars EVERY morning? I doubt it, lets just admire the video for the entertaining 4 minutes it was (I'm sure I've said that before, but in a different context!) :-)
At least there was a fence. Have a look at Nik Maxwell flying that G4 which has just been posted. That is what I would call dangerous. Loads of disk to the pilot moves and there is no way the other guys on the flight line would stand a chance if he lost it.
These threads can be useful, it's alway interesting to see what we all find acceptable.
Cheers, Simon

I am sure H/S is a mental illness and a strange one at that...those inflicted like too aggrandize themselves...and become all anti everything that is fun and enjoyable...very nasty sickness they have.....
Heli central...Basildon RC helis...strictly helis only...
Mr Szabo can really fly slam 3D, but he is not as acurate, Smooth or even tallented as pilots like Duncan Osborne and others who practice F3N competition.
However for excitement and pure adrenaline Mr Szabo can really fly
This was at an event that he was and many others were flying at, if he wants to cut his own head of so be it. If you go to the nationals in this country they have speed control line flying behind a rope fence, ad we used to have a rope fence in this counry for the 3D Masters.

Mr Szabo does actually fly F3C, check out the videos on you tube. He can fly big, very smooth and with control.
Not to labour the point but risk management / H&S is grey to me.
If you get 10 people to rate various risks for the same event I bet you would get various answers.
I wonder if the people doing the H&S at these events are experienced pilots, would I feel safer if they were or would someone with no flying experience but good H&S knowledge have a better perspective.
We fly 10hp+ helis with two 700mm blades on them, because in any situation that is safe? No it is not a safe hobby but there are procedures in place to make it as safe as it can be, that event will have been assessed and deemed to be safe enough to go ahead. So lets stop judging all our fellow pilots and get on with enjoying the hobby!
This was also done in the US, a place where they'll take you to court for absolutely anything, so I'm sure if the organisers or Alan Szabo thought there was a risk they'd not have done it, either that or they've got really really good lawyers!
