I went Futaba-Spektrum-JR-now back to Futaba. As a result I still run both Spektrum & Futaba. Basically I have Futaba in my Helis & a mix in my planes.
I haven't had any reliability problems with either.

I actually don't really like the futaba antenna TBH, but I do really like S-bus.
Futaba has one thing that Spektrum & JR doesn't though & thats the tab on the servo plugs, adds that little bit of extra friction to keep plugs in!

    Tim.

i fly futaba and my models will stay futaba

        but
i have bought a secondhand dx8 to use on the bnf models as the futaba won't control them

Hmmmn .. Hi Tec for me I have an FF9 with spec mod and have tranfered my bnf stuff to that. So the dx6's days are numbered. Had to many problems.

How about an option for I've seen the light.
          T Rex 600 n pro, Raptor 50 ( on the build table) T Rex 500 , Nano and a Blade 450 ,T Rex 250 ( still in box )
          Aroura 9 , FF9 with specky mod , dx6i
          Oh and loads of Planks.
