I'll sit back all smug like & play the sim on my new JR XG11 might not be as easy to set up on vbar etc but its no toytown radio it has 11 useable channels
& I didnt need a phd in programing to sort it out just for the sim

This sounds like a faulty switch, power connectuion, or battery connection.
Can you reproduce it by shaking the transmitter, or wiggling the wire to the battery? Its worth trying to identify the issue before you send it back.
The reboot of the tx must be a loss of power that comes back becuase the switch is still in the on position.

I've tried shaking it while it is on, and cannot reproduce the problem, which makes me even more worried! I'll have a go at wiggling the power wire tonight when I get home. The TX and battery are about 8 months old, and I've never removed the battery since installing it the day I received it. It is the stock battery that came with the TX.Current: Gaui X5 FES (Spartan Vortex) : Trex 450 Pro DFC (BeastX) : Blade 130X : Blade mCPX : Blade Nano CPX

Hi guys battery never taken out of tx to charge it has never done this before I have tried shaking the tx to replicate the issue but no joy. I will be sending back to HH and see what they say. I have however now lost some trust in the brand just glad it was not the 550.
