Last night (Sunday) I meet Pip at a local air bases Gym for a good ole fly up.
In total there was five of us, the other chaps were all top blokes and took time to explain curves while demonstrating on a Trex 450 with a member moving the parts to show what the parts do in different set ups.
In ten minutes I learned more about this game then all the reading over the last 5 months.
I got a chance to fly my Blade CX2 high up in the rafters and in total I had five 10 minutes flights which was blinding, it's so much different flying in a large indoor area as drafts and the shear air space makes for some interesting flying I hadn't experienced before.
As was watching the others fly everything from little hotrod Dragonflys, amazing little flyer's, we even had a slight mid air collision, but after a five minute repair the birds were up again.
I also watched a couple of Trex 450's in the air which was amazing, plus a chap was practicing on his HBK2, which looked like a super stable flyer, and nothing like the tail twitcher version they have on Phoenix, again well impressive.
I'm sure Michael won't mind me saying as the deal is all settled, but I wont be buying a Blade 400 now, I'm buying one of he's Trex 450's with the DX6 comptroller, as he said it's a far more advanced heli, plus coming from him I'd know its in excellent condition, but he had it there last night, so I even had a chance to see her fly even before I knew it was going up for sale, to say I'm well pleased is an understatement, the bird looks practically brand new.
Anyway I just wanted to say thanks to all who made me very welcome, and for pip who organized and made my visit possible.
Cheers guys.

A few shots from last night.
