  • Lipo Fire

A clubmates Raptor 50 that I have just finished rebuilding was destroyed in a fire yesterday, he was in the process of charging his 2S 1950 Align pack, as he had many times before when the fire broke out. He's not sure what happened but returned to the garage after 15mins and found the fire blazing. Luckily it looks like his insurance is going to payout and luckier still he's okay and the house escaped damage, it destroyed his Tx, and most of his equipment built up over a few years.

    Take care guys

For the actual amount of time Matt has been able to put into the hobby he sure has had more than his share of misfortune.

You can say that again Andy, the job doesn't help much but neither does things like this

I never do either Harry but even if it had been on the bench next to it the way it's gone up it would still have damaged the heli

Oh my god! Glad everyone's ok but what a shame to see his model & equipment just catching fire like that! Hopefully the insurance will cover everything financially but still, what a PITA to replace everything - as said it takes years to build up everything.
