Hi Guys. A few weeks ago i bought a blade msrx for indoor flying. Years ago i owned a CX2 and binned it after becoming frustrated at its poor build quality and fragility. Clearly the tears of the past had become dummed down and that's how the msrx came about.
First to admit that i'm still learning but the msrx was not the easiest heli to get off the ground without slamming it into the nearest solid object. Usually aft and to port. Despite ASX3, the tail does what it wants and when corrected, the heli rises and again moves to the left..
I didn't expect hands off hovering but i was expecting something a little better behaved with all the hype given to it by Hobby Horizon.
After reading lots of threads on forums and videos on you tube and replacing the swash plate with a Rakon
heli upgrade, the wee beastie actually started to behave itself and would lend itself to nose in hovering training. Great ! I hear you say, the winer has got it sorted... Nah !!! The damn thing will barely get off the ground now. Even on a new batt, it will only lift off the ground a few inches. I figure either the motor or the ESC has bitten the dust..
Called the model shop today to report the busted heli and to see if they wanted me to take in the heli alone or the whole kit.
I was told to rebox the lot and post it back to Horizon as they warranted the thing. Great ! So i have the expense of posting it back to Harlow for repair or replacement... Excellent !!!! NOT !!!!.
I suffer fools gladly but i don't suffer poor quality gladly.. I should have known not to buy Eflite again after the crappy Cx2 i had a few years ago.. Once replaced, this is going on Ebay... So now i'm looking for a new BNF micro with a brushless motor and a landing skid that doesn't break as soon as you look at it.. Does such a beast exist ?
