    How well does the spectrum DX7 work in driving hail and snow?

    If you're inside with a tinny at the time - quite well I should think

    Are you really going to fly in snow & hail? I have read some reports that say the signal is soaked up by water/moisture

              Er, yeah, why exactly would you want to fly in those conditions, real pilots try hard to avoid that and they are at least inside their vehicle...

                      It just happens that 2.45GHz is one of the the frequencies used in microwave ovens. Other frequencies are used but this is the most common because it is one of the ISM bands (industrial, scientific and medical) set aside for non-communication purposes.

                      I suspect your tx will work in the rain but some of the energy will be absorbed, but I don't know, the same for most transmitters
