    Doodson isn't the cheapest. I have all my heli stuff covered by a special policy with Walter Midgley.

    On homeowners / renters insurance for just normal stuff you need to look closely at the details because often they will limit the value of any one thing in order to make sure they're covering ordinary cheap household items, so a lot of times you may have something like 5K worth of contents cover but in the fine print it might say no single item can be over 500 in value and some specific types of things might be excluded or limited.

      I sell home insurance and I did some checks and the company we broker for covers all radio controlled models as standard contents insurance blanket cover is £50k single item max £5k but can be more. I'm happy to give a quote and can give 2 months free cover at the start
