The DFC is heavily criticized by some, espiaclly those who are "Anti-Align"
The fact of the matter is its hit and miss, unless you have tried an Align heli with a DFC head then I feel your arguments are restricted, personally my old 700N DFC flew great in both sport and 3D and my new 500DFC also fly's great, I have never heard of bolts shearing in the head only bolts flying out due to lack of loctight or poor maintenance.
Just because its cheaper then the goblin, compass options dosen't mean its crap it work, don't get me wrong my 600 with the old 3G flys awesome but the DFC is like marmite some love it some hate it.
Just my opinion

I disagree that there are some loads of the bolt however they are only going to be minuscule because the dampeners in a dfc head are solid, to your previous comment I'm not in anyway saying you are wrong I just don't believe it is enough of a problem to worry about, Its not like align didn't know this would happen they are not idiots but they will of done the maths and decided that it would hold up just fine, you have to replace ball links every year so if people really were worried you could replace the dfc bolt every year :P
