I bought the MSRX RTF in December.

I started by letting the lvc cut in and ruined a few batteries, until someone pointed out that letting them discharge too much is a bad thing!

4 minutes 30 I set my timer for on the standard out of the box batteries, seems to do me fine.

The controller in the box will get you up and running, however I'd recommend saving up for a dx6i as when I bought one a couple of weeks later, it really helps with controlling the helicopter (and will work with many models as you move up, so is an investment imo).

It's an excellent little machine though, lots of fun.

cool.....i'm using the standars 2.4htz controller you get in the 'RTF' kit....not got the disposable cash to get a DX6i (or greater) at the mo....

Your batteries will last longer if you don't push them too far ... egg timer or mobile phone - whatever works! ....

.... actually, egg timer a bad idea unless it has an audible alarm!

Standard advice is to buy more batteries and fly for less time. Also the cold will shorten the flight time as the voltage drop gets bigger.
