Are old .30 nitro helis of any use at all?
I was given a Kyosho Nexus that was never finished. It has a brand new OS 32 SX engine, all the original, unused electronics, including Futaba S3001 servos and a CSM gyro that's about the size of a box of washing powder
The way I see it, the heli, including all the electronics, is worthless, and the only part that's worth salvaging is the engine, so I was wondering, would it be worth trying to graft the engine into something like a T-Rex 500, just for something to do, or is it just not worth the effort?

as to shoehorning the engine into a T500 id say you could be opening up a can of worms yes it can be done but would cost as in clutch finding the right gear ratio etc , this is considering you can get the engine to run , or you could get a cheap 6 channel tx and get it flying and raffle it of and donate the money to a worth while charity
