Zippo for me too, the last time i lit mine it lasted a two whole days! must have overdone it with the lighter fuel!!
You are better off with two so you can put one in each pocket.

I had toasty warm hands and fingers using a combination of these fingerless gloves with mits, and two disposible hand warmers. At 33p per pair of handwarmers (which last 6 hours), I havent seen the need to go for a more expensive handwarmer yet.
This worked really well on Sunday, when it was 1 degree outside. When not flying, fold over the mit (with a hand warmer inside), fold back to fly, to have naked fingers on the sticks. I had to take my fingers out occasionally as they were too warm...

The most extreme ones, I've completely hacked the thumbs and palms off; so you only have cover on the backs of your hands, wrists, fingers, etc. Lots of 'feel', warmer than bare hands.
Another suggestion is to make sure the rest of you is warm, as this will help keep hands warm.Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

Hand Warmers
Turnigy transmitter glove with heating elements set on 35 degrees. Hands were a little too toasty towards end of flights. Feet got too cold this time out!!Gaui R5 + 14S + Tribunus 200 + Scorpion 4530/540 + Bavarian Demon Axon
