Faulty Align 3gx - UK distributor?

I bought a new sealed 3gx unit from a private seller on eBay, it was parted out from a week old combo kit. I've just finished setting up the 3gx on the heli and the last thing I got round to was plugging in the gov sensor. It now appears that the gov is faulty and isn't picking up the magnets. The same sensor is fine with the old align g600 gov that came of the heli.

I've tried contacting the seller, however as I sort of expected, got no answer. The box was sealed when it arrived so I've no reason to believe that it was faulty.

Is there a UK distributor for Align I can contact to try and get a replacement?

Same thing happen to me last week its not 3GX that's faulty its the setup.

Make sure you have linear in throttle mode bind then heli again the go through the gov setup

My throttle curve is linear, 0-100 straight line. I've been round and round with this all day.

I'm not getting a blinking led when the magnets pass over the sensor. I've tried new magnets, big magnets, everything. Plug the sensors into the old g600, perfect, 3gx ... nothing.

I've tried upgrading the firmware, downgrading the firmware ... nothing.

Sellers got back to me, hopefully they can get something from the original dealer.

Yes, this can take a little while, I have been waiting for a servo for about 8-10 weeks now. But needs must. Robbe Schluter are the UK Distributor for Align. If you need there details please feel free to contact me, however I am not sure how much support you will receive.

I think that is is just protocol, out of the hands of Robbe Schluter unfortunately!

What tx are you using & have you got 2 green lights on.?

Hitec A9 tx with a optima 9 rx. Yea, I've got both green lights and can switch off the gov etc. Everything else is perfect on the 3gx, just missing the green blinky gov light

I wouldn't mind so much but the reason I went for the 3gx was because the gov is built in. I could have done a 3g version for practically nothing.

I don't think the light blinks on mine but will check tomorrow & pm you, if you flick the gain switch for the gov does the light go red.?

Yea, if I alter the gain either via switch or manually the gov led will change red/green, so I know it's picking up the gain from ch7 on the rx.

The tarot zyx is starting to look tempting.

Can you recheck the sensor wire using the old gov or using a multi meter to make sure the wiring asn't been damaged during removal?
Just a thought.

That was the first thing I did. Grabbed my g600 gov from my raptor and plugged it into the vibe which has the new sensor. G600 blinks when the mag passes the sensor on the vibe. I then took my spektrum backplate sensor off my raptor and put it on the vibe with the 3gx, no flashing gov light. Both sensors work fine with the old g600 but not with the 3gx.

It's fairly safe to say that the fault isn't with the sensors or magnets.

Sorry to hear of your problem with the 3GX.
Unfortunately when it comes to replacement or repair your first port of call will need to be with the EBay seller, who will then have the original purchase receipt and return it to the retailer from which they purchased the combo kit from.
Unfortunately Robbe UK will have no way of verifying the 3GX purchase without a receipt and contact from the retailer. I have no doubt it can be fixed but it may be at your expense without proof of purchase, sorry.

If this was brought through PayPal then you can claim the item is faulty and go for a refund.

Just an idea, but have you tried flipping the magnets over? Some sensors need to see a specific magnet pole. Total stab in the dark but worth a go if you've not already done so.
Also is the sensor to magnet distance close enough for the magnet to trigger the hall effect sensor?

With the govenor led green as the magnet passes by the sensor it should blink as you are expecting it to.

When you try again raise the throttle stick to over 25% with the govenor led green to signal its on and rotate your clutch bell to see if it now registers the magnet passing by.

I've tried all sorts of combinations of things, given up now, fed up with it.

I don't really want to have to go through the paypal claim process, and I'm pretty sure the seller won't want to either. Fingers crossed they come back with something today, otherwise I'll have no other option.
