Faulty Align 3gx - UK distributor?

I don't really want to have to go through the paypal claim process, and I'm pretty sure the seller won't want to either. Fingers crossed they come back with something today, otherwise I'll have no other option.

I can understand your reluctance, but it is the right way to go unfortunately.

Tempting as it is to try and short-cut back to a distributor, you need to follow the liability back up the chain of contracts as in the end it may not even be from a kit supplied by Robbe UK.

The person you bought it from should refund your money then attempt to get it fixed and subsequently they can offer it for sale again, but you should not be waiting for that to happen and should be free to source a working unit elsewhere.

Are you sure that the sensor is compatible with the 3GX? The sensors operate differently so you need to match the sensor with the unit.

For example, my CGY750 Gov sensor won't work with my TotalG Gov, but the Spektrum Backplate sensor will work with the TotalG, and if I want to use the Align sensor with the TotalG then I have to swap wires around to make it work.

So it could be the sensor(s) you're trying to use aren't compatible with the 3GX

The sensor I'm using on my vibe is a brand new genuine align sensor.

The only reason I have a spektrum backplate sensor to hand is because the proper align sensor can't be mounted correctly on my raptor, which uses a rce-g600 align gov.

Checked mine a few times earlier to be sure & red or green don't flash but last Saturday was first chance i got to fly with 3GX on 700 & im sure gov was working but only tried it the once as i wanted to get the gains setup first but hopefully will be working on gov this Saturday

I've opened a dispute with eBay. Like others have said, it's the seller who should be arranging a replacement. I purchased the item as new and it's faulty.

If it was a private seller, the goods don't have to be 'fit for purpose' or of 'satisfactory quality', they only have to be 'as described', so if he described it as a 'new, unopened 3GX' and you received a 'new, unopened 3GX', that's as far as his liability extends. It matters not whether it's working or not.

Well the seller is doing their best to resolve the problem, got to give them a chance, cant be fairer than that.
