90 at the lesson didn't seem big but I think he said it was a 50 with extended tail. Other than tail length it was the same size as the 50 so I doubt I saw a real 90 size 
Quite right, the electrics do quieten down very quickly as they move away. They only really become audible if you do something to make the blades fart. Then you hear it
The ones at the lesson certainly ran well enough. He even said they were worn and lacked power but were ok for training use. That's a pretty good indicator of robustness. Don't think the cows would like it though, hehehehe. They'd find me squashed in the field with cow pats all over me
