Well actually it is because it is a right pain when your for sale item keeps getting bumped down the list by a sold post or even worse a sold pending payment post. Who cares if there is a payment pending!!!

The rules are there to stop this but people refuse to follow them so it isn't a case of "if you dont like what goes on there dont use it"... people shouldn't do it and it isn't fair on everyone else if they do.

The way to sort the bumping down the list by replies such as "pending payment", "pm sent", "received today" is to have every "for sale" thread locked so no one can reply to it..
we don't need to see that you've sent a pm, or received the item, bla bla bla...
then when it is your time to bump you can unlock the thread, bump it and lock it again...
Then when Nipster looks at the "for sale" threads if any are unlocked he deletes them...
there you go sorted.......
