Ive had a cheap (£10) one from my LHS for the last 3 years and not had any issues...

Certainly not an item worth spending big bucks on.

Thanks for the offer, I was very close to taking you up on it as it is such as simple design but I heard it is slow to fill tanks with it, probably no problem with a plane tank but these 700's have big tanks lol, any slower than a normal pump wouldn't be much fun.

Maybe I will give this a go linked to small lipo it should be pretty compact still, hopefully I can find a way to attach it to my bottle clamp.

yuppyflyer that pump has good reviews on it, I will look into it thanks.

          Cheers guys

This thread interests me because I am curious as to what peeps think is a good pump. I have had my hand pump for years and years; it has a Q on the name on the front. It looks a little like this one Thunder Tiger Hand Crank Fuel Pump (Nitro) | eBay and I wanted to get another like it but wanted a high capacity version.

I was just thinking about getting a new one - I tried electric and find a hand pump less fuss - so I looked here.Robbe Hand Crank Glow Fuel Pump | Midland Helicopters Ltd but a pic wouldn't show.

This sounds like a good one. This is what I am looking for, one which comes highly recommended.

I wonder if mine is a Robbe or maybe Hirobo.

That is a good point - ironically when I was using an electric pump I drained with the hand pump. lol

I'll second that! I've had mine so long, I can't remember when I bought it - but its still perfect!

I just ordered a Quickuk pump which looks very much like the fast fueller.

The Quickuk pump arrived the other day, Quick are very quick as always. I pumped some fuel through it and to my horror some bits appeared in the header tank.........................so I cleaned out the tank and then it leaked!!

In retrospect I know I should have pumped some fuel through it beforehand but there you go. Live and learn.
